One of the most impressive items in the musem, is the foot-driven dentist wheel, made in New York, USA. A member of the Simantiri family, Theologos Simantiris, in the beginning of the 20th century, studied and worked as a dentist in USA for many years. As the years went by, Dr. Simantiris decided to go back to Patmos, still working as a dentist.

The tradition in dentristry in the Simantiri famili continued for more generations, as Soraya Simantiri, the niece of Dr. Simantiris and mother of the last descendant of the family, followed her unlces footsteps and chose dentistry as her occupation.
